Aug 12, 2022 · Had a little seep from the oil cooler hose, #12 below: You can see it right past the oil filter with one end in the engine, and the other clamped onto the oil cooler. There was a trace leak with dried coolant, so I bought a new one.
Aug 31, 2018 · I have a 2008 3.2 FWD XC90. I have recently replaced the coolant bypass hose (30713530) and the o ring (30670569). It seems to hold for 40 or 50 miles, then start leaking again.
Feb 25, 2010 · Cut the hose with a razor blade. Pull off the hose and drain the excess oil out of the cooler. This is what you will have when your done. This is the flaring tool from KD tools. The aluminum lines ID, Inner Diameter, will not allow the insert. You must drill it out with a 3/8" drill bit. CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN out the metal shavings when your done.
Dec 13, 2014 · First, get an oil pan and remove the oil filter. With the filter removed, you can see the special bolt that the filter screws onto and this same bolt secures the cooler. It is a 30MM hex bolt, and it was on there tight. With the bolt removed, I could easily pull the cooler down to remove the old o-ring using a small pick.

Mar 17, 2008 · Here's a run down of what you need to do in order to replace the leaky factory crimped hoses on your stock oil cooler lines. I did this write up w/ a set of old lines I had laying around. It is NOT necessary to remove the lines from the vehicle when performing this repair.
