Nick Wauters (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈnɪk ʋʌu̯tərs]) is a Belgian-born American television writer and editor, best known as the creator and co-executive producer of the NBC television series, The Event. [1] He graduated from Oberlin College, where he produced and directed the feature-length film, The People We Used to Be. [2]
Wauters got his start as a filmmaker writing and directing several award-winning short films, including the Stephen King short, Rainy Season, and the short film/backdoor pilot, Ryan’s Life. This led to writing for a variety of primetime shows, including Medium , The 4400 , Eureka , and The Vampire Diaries .
