i took like 5 mins to kill the whole centaur area, i cleared like 20 extra just because they were there, the centaurs hit weakly but reasonably fast, just watchout for being hit by 2 or more at once! Coords are 45,44 (due north of Freewind post)
To start this quest you first have to complete Pacify the Centaur, which is also given by Cliffwatcher Longhorn. Comment by Pasu Just read through all the comments and surprised no one talking about the meaning of the notes and how the quest does drops off after mentioning these ominous forces from Lordaeron, Harbingers Elm, Rex, and Grakus...

View Quest Pacify the Centaur from The Burning Crusade Classic. Kill 12 Galak Scouts, 10 Galak Wranglers, and 6 Galak Windchasers, and then return to Cliffwatcher Longhorn in Freewind Post.
The Grimtotem Clan is up to something secretive. Three agents of unknown origin were seen visiting the Grimtotem over the recent weeks. We discovered that separate chests in Darkcloud Pinnacle hold these guarded messages. <name>, if you succeed in this dangerous mission, I will reward you in kind.
Notes. The centaur are located directly north of Freewind Post up against the cliffs that mark the edge of Thousand Needles, an area known as Splithoof Crag. It is a large camp and the different types of centaur are scattered through it, though the Galak Scouts seem to be more scarce than the others.
