Aug 13, 2024 · In 1901, Rabindranath started a Brahmacharyaashrama, later known as Patha Bhavana from 1925. In 1921, Rabindranath founded Visva Bharati , which was declared a central university and an institute of national importance in 1951.
Classes are held in the shade of trees. Patha Bhavana is right in the heart of Visva Bharati campus. Unfortunately, visitors are not permitted inside the campus when classes are in progress. You can visit after hours or on holidays. Wednesdays are weekly holidays in Santiniketan. Patha Bhavana is Visva Bharati's school dept.
