Rentfaster allows you to select your price range, whether having heat and water paid for you is important, what appliances you definitely need in the property, etc. It's pretty cool. When me and my wife were looking before finding our current place she said that shared laundry was a no no for her so we looked at places that had the appliances for doing the laundry in suite.
Sep 26, 2022 · Archived post. New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast. 1 beds are $1500-1800 right now, not $1000. 2 beds are $1900-$2300. Dont bother contacting any listing under $1400, that's definitely an old listing, a lie, or a place not fit for habitation. Thank you for the expected price update!
Aug 11, 2023 · The supply isn’t outweighed by the demand by any stretch. Calgary landlords have lost their goddamned minds is what’s happened. They want $1,500 a month for a rundown shithole apartment plus a non-refundable $250 application fee, $200/mo for parking, and $300/mo for “included” utilities, and a $1,500 deposit.
Mar 19, 2021 · I like padmapper, it has an option to show listings on a map. Yes, rentfaster and Kijiji. We recently moved to Calgary and used Kijiji to find our current rental. If you're going the Kijiji route, I would recommend doing additional research to learn about the neighbourhood and the building/management.
Jan 5, 2021 · Although year terms are more common, it’s no problem to find rentals that will do month to month, especially since there is way more supply than demand currently. Just check off ‘short term’ and ‘pet friendly’ on RentFaster.ca and you’ll have tons. I just did a quick search for $1500-2000 and over 200 listings came up.
Aug 19, 2022 · Any advice would be appreciated. Simple answer - yes. Yes, but take notes , it's hard to track who is renting what building when you go between text, email and the app. Yes…I used to be a landlord and used it all the time. I used both Rent Finder and Kijiji when I was looking for tenants for my home in Calgary.
Dec 1, 2015 · I've been following one property on Rentfaster for over 2 months now, and saw the rent lowered by over $400. They even added a free month of rent, cable/internet and an extra parking spot. I just checked last week and the property was taken down but I don't think it was rented because they usually say "rented" on the posting if they get taken.
Jan 7, 2016 · alpain Southwest Calgary • Additional comment actions ya i was just mentioning the west belt line area aka connaught, no idea whats going up for apartments east of 8th street, north of 17th ave, west of 14th st and across the tracks into west end downtown.
Just to compare, Im at 1400 per month for a 1 BR 650 sq ft condo, but with top end finishings (en-suite laundry, quartz counters, hardwoods, stainless steel, etc). Demand for two bedroom suburb townhouses are low, a third bedroom ads lots of value and flexibility for little if any increase over your rent.
May 2, 2022 · Yet people complain that even one more rental tower is somehow too much for the market to handle. I mean I’m not sure if you’ve noticed but the majority of people can’t afford to live in these brand new buildings. Charging $2400 for a tiny 2 bedroom apartment isn’t actually that helpful to the majority of people.
