Our History. Built in 1876, the building located at 44 John St. S., Harriston has taken on a variety of roles in the community. At various times a private home, birthing hospital, and home to Member of Parliament W.C. (William) Chambers, the property was purchased by Fred W. Hardy in 1947 and converted to the Hardy Funeral Home.
