The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction's Offender Search displays information on offenders who are currently incarcerated in an Ohio prison, currently under DRC supervision, judicially released, or who died of natural causes while incarcerated.
Ohio's first prison with the Department of Rehabilitation & Correction was established in 1813 in Columbus. The state currently has 28 state prisons. The number of inmates in custody fluctuates, however as of the end of 2023, they number just over 45,000. There are approximately 27,000 more on parole and supervised release.
