The ILCA is a one design class, so if you are close to the weight range for the majority of the club ILCAs then go with the masses. It will make for more exciting racing although you might have to work a little harder to keep up with them!

Sep 18, 2020 · For the radial and 4.7 rigs, a 6:1 system is normally sufficient. However, for the standard rig, an 8:1 is essential as the sailcloth on the MKII standard rig is much stiffer, requiring a more powerful system.
