  2. Agreed, I'm kinda biased towards java. Farm mechanics seem to make more sense on java and bugs are less common than in bedrock. But as you said, the battle system's better in bedrock which is a vital feature for survival. Looking at the posts currently though, 1.18 is very laggy at the moment and bedrock seems to be struggling more out of the two.

    • Which Version You Want Will Depend A Little Bit on Your needs.
    • If You Want to Play with Friends on Other Platforms, Go with Bedrock and Realms.
    • If You Want to Go Super Deep with Modding, Play Java Edition.
    • If You Have An Older Computer, Play Bedrock Edition.

If you're playing on a console or mobile device--an Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, or Android/iOS device, you'll be playing Bedrock. Ray tracing allows you to enjoy all kinds of light effects that completely change the way the game looks, while Nvidia's DLSSupscaling helps keep ...

If you want to see all that new stuff before it makes...

  3. Bedrock (Windows, Switch, Playstation, Xbox, iOS, Android): Is much better optimized because it needs to run on mobile devices. Has speed bridging. Has cross platform multiplayer. Java (Windows, Linux, macOS): Has deeper combat and redstone mechanics. Has much better documentation, going all the way back to 2009. Supports mods.

  4. May 21, 2024 · The choice between Java and Bedrock depends on your preferences and needs.
