My old high school keeps an archive of all yearbooks back to the 1920s so I can always see them again. I'd only miss the signatures of "see you next year" written 100s of times. I'd personally keep them. They are like a diary, something that you can't get rid of and will look back on when you get old. Try to find some other things on your bookshelf you can get rid of instead. You can always buy another copy of any other book or a digital copy. You can't do that with your yearbook.
If you have a lot of yearbooks and you want to pare down, I'd suggest maybe keeping one or two of your most important or sentimental ones. A couple yearbooks won't take up much space, but your kids might really appreciate them in the future. They can decide to get rid of them if they don't end up wanting them.
