  1. PROS: You get to kill Loredo - More information about the Sabrina curse - More focus on the kingslayers investigation - the necromancy scene - Dethmold is a cool villain - Ves is a better romance (personal taste) - Roche is a bro - Some interesting characters from books like Zyvik and Pangratt - Little Sisters is an interesting side quest - The Rotfiend Contract is less annoying than the Harpy ...

  2. I agree. In Witcher 2, Roche path, then Iorveth, then Witcher 3. For me, Iorveth's path is the way to go, if you've only time for one. One thing: about midway through the game, if you encounter something called "Malget's notes", translate them and see where things lead from a bygone era. That is all.

  3. While with Iorveth you see more of Saskia and how the Mages plan comes together during Chapter 2, I enjoyed it more when it was more on the Regal side of the story, especially leading into Chapter 3. I also played out both choices of choosing either to save Triss during Roche's story choice or to save the child of Foltest, Anais.

  4. Roche seemed... more distracted, more concerned with generally punishing the enemies of Temeria, where Iorveth just wanted Letho, just like me. At the time it felt like a choice between 'paying Roche back' and 'actually getting to the Kingslayer and Triss' so I reluctantly went with Iorveth (even though I hated the Scoia'tel in TW1).

  5. Sep 10, 2014 · Sorry to ressurect something so old, but I think this thread is the top hit in Google for the search Roche or Iorveth. Honestly, my gut choice was simple. Both have pros and cons sure, but when of them ruined a perfect trap for the Kingslayer in chapter 1, and the Witcher main concern was the Kingslayer in that point, rather than one side or another.

  6. May 20, 2020 · I also played the Roche path the first time and then I decided to try the Iorveth path aswell and I have to say I enjoyed the Iorveth path so much more. With Iorveth you get to explore everything, all locations where as with R you are more limited. Not to mention you also get the right ending if you choose the Spellbreaker quest at the very end.

  8. Nov 16, 2015 · Besides, *SPOILER ALERT* even if you side with Iorveth, Vernon Roche keeps his faith in you, perhaps believing that even with the Scoia'tael, you would still end up doing the right thing. And even if you side with Roche, unlike Iorveth's path, Kaedweni would just once again, swallow up the Pontar Valley, leaving the nonhumans with nowhere to feel safe.
