How do I train this, and how should I improve chem/physics and maintain gains elsewhere in next two weeks. I’m not planning on spending excessive money, hence focus on KA, but happy to buy essential material for studying what I need.
I took the AAMC Fl 2 today and got a 506 and my test is in 15 days on September 6. Originally my ideal score was 515+, but now being more realistic after all the studying, I'll be very happy with 512+.
Ideally, by the time you take AAMC FL 1, you should be scoring on top of or within a few points of your goal score. Do you have the non-FL AAMC material? IMO, the exceptions to the "final month" rule you see a lot here are the AAMC CARS QPacks.
- If you’re a first-time test-taker and/or have problems with endurance, aim to take 8 or more full-length exams. A large portion of MCAT prep is accomplished outside of MCAT practice tests, including review of contentand practice working through individual passages.
- If you have little trouble staying focused for 6+ hours, 5-6 exams may be closer to the perfect number for you. It’s not uncommon for students to score extremely well on the MCAT after taking only 5 full-length exams.
- A void taking more than one full-length per week! Students–especially those with only 1-2 months until their test date–often fall into the trap of packing multiple full-length MCAT practice tests into the same week.
- More full-lengths is NOT always better. We’ve seen several students with the same grave misconception – “If 5-10 full-lengths are good,” they say, “then more than 10 must be even better!”
Watch webinars containing resources, guidance, and tips about AAMC services (SHPEP, Fee Assistance Program, FIRST, the MCAT® exam, the AMCAS® program) to help you conquer the medical school application process.
Nov 11, 2015 · Phase 2 is where you start to practice MCAT material, especially full-length exams and passage-style questions. Phase 2 should last a MINIMUM of 4 weeks, but up to 8 weeks is typical. This is when you work through passages and REVIEW information related to the questions you missed by taking a full-length test every 2-3 weeks.

Aug 24, 2012 · Section bank is the most difficult material and you should start doing that within the last few weeks of studying. Finish with probably a week of 2 or 3 FLs and then the AAMC FL 1 and/or 2 the last week of studying to see if you are ready for the test.
