I'd recommend you to start with vanilla. Start with vanilla. Vanilla. Do at least one vanilla run, then do mods if you get bored. you will appreciate the game more and enjoy it a lot more if you have a baseline for how things sgoud feel/ be..in that, vanilla is the way to go.
