There are different kinds of tab stops, and each can be useful depending on where you want to align your text. They include the following:
•Left tab stop: A left tab stop aligns all of your text to the left of the tab stop.
•Right tab stop: A right tab stop aligns all of your text to the right of the tab stop.
•Center tab stop: A center tab stop centers all of your text on the tab stop.

1. Display the ruler
If you've never displayed the ruler on your Word program before, it may not be present. You can easily reveal it by adjusting the ruler settings.
