One of the more unknown slasher horrors I recently came across was Neon Maniacs, a 1986 film about 12 mutants with different designations/weapon styles coming out of the Golden Gate bridge at night time to kill. When I saw the trailer for this I thought brilliant! 80s rock music, campy teens, murderous mutants, and 80's schlock.

Okay, we need a high budget Neon Maniacs sequel that goes all Tron Legacy and shows us the origin of the Maniacs. It's an obscure IP that's open to all sorts of story possibilities that can bounce between genres and styles. There's a story in each Maniac.
I really miss the USA channel. Duckman, titty flicks, cheep ass horror. Man those were the days. They'd edit out all the good parts, but it was the only way for a little kid to get R-rated stuff back before the internet was a thing. This movie is the sort of thing you'd expect from Troma Films, except Lloyd Kaufman goes for broke.
