One of the more unknown slasher horrors I recently came across was Neon Maniacs, a 1986 film about 12 mutants with different designations/weapon styles coming out of the Golden Gate bridge at night time to kill. Mar 30, 2008 · At least if they make a remake (i'm not against that idea), make a better scenario and please get back the team from that movie, give them small roles or anything, hire a big star and make it even frightening, it could be awesome !!
Apr 14, 2007 · agreed, can't be re-enacted in the same style. it's just too late. the equipment used to make this movie is long-gone with the eighties and unavailable. modern techniques just couldn't bring what the few original Neon fans would be looking for. the concept of Neon Maniacs could be made popular if improvised correctly, but i don't care about that.
Despite its faults, logic, editing, pace and such director Joseph Mangine's ambitious Neon Maniacs counter balances its short comings. Larry Odien, Allan A. Apone and Douglas J. White's make up and practical effects are surprisingly good and the period music score is creatively ominous.

Jun 4, 2014 · He opens the ambulance’s doors and pokes his head in. Bad move. Neon Maniacs is so clumsily awful it's very enjoyable to watch with friends, a few beers, and low expectations. Sadly, there is no disco dancing or neon lights involved, and a trading card set was never issued.
