To sell a pylon, an NPC needs at least three points from among the following bonuses: Biome bonus - NPC lives in their preferred biome. Solitude bonus - NPC is not overcrowded; on Console/Mobile, this means no more than 1 neighbor (2 on PC) and no more than 3 non-neighbors within 120 blocks.
May 17, 2020 · Not sure on that one though. All NPCs with a shopping interface sell the Pylons. To obtain the Pylon the NPC has to be living in a biome they want to live in with NPCs they like and far away from NPCs they dislike. (Like the Arms Dealer hating living near the Demolitionist, but loving to live with the Nurse.)
They are all in the wrong biome. Best way to get a snow pylon is to put the mechanic and goblin tinkerer in the snow biome together and make sure no other NPC is less than 26 tiles away and you should be able to buy a pylon. The best combination in early Pre-Hardmode would be Zoologist and the Golfer.

Oct 20, 2020 · Well i have the same problem, before the update the zoologist was selling pylons, she is in the forest, alone and i could have it, now i can't, the same goes for the merchant, he is in the forest, with the nurse, talks about how he likes the forest and the nurse, so his happines should be 100% and he isn't selling pylons for some reason
