If you’re looking for a Division I school, your options are limited because there are only around 100 schools that offer scholarships. Cheer does not follow NCAA system, so no, that rule does not apply. D1 schools have nicer facilities and can offer more in terms of actual education, but in terms of cheerleading success, JuCo does not compete at a lower level of difficulty or skills.
