Encourage the church to give joyfully and willingly with a cheerful heart, not out of obligation. Before we receive the offering, let’s have a look into God’s word in Leviticus 27:30. “And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord’s. It is holy to the Lord.”. God is saying that the tithe actually belongs to Him. He is the rightful owner of that gift.
