- Google Maps supports offline maps ---and it has for a long time. All you have to do is select "Offline Maps," and you can download a map of your city or select a custom area to download. It's pretty dang easy. Apple Maps does not support offline maps. You'll have to try a different app if that's something you need on your iPhone, unfortunately.
