Crews are created through the Rockstar Social Club. Crew creators have the option to customize Crew name, colors, tag, motto, and ten custom-created Rank Titles when Creating their crew.
Update: On February 5, 2014, Rockstar announced increased crew sizes.
Crews are also divided into five types: Chatter Boxes, Thrill Seekers, Rebels, Soldiers, and All-Stars.
Crews are created through the Rockstar Social Club. Players may opt to Join an existing Crew or create their own.
Crews can be either Open or Invitation Only. Open Crews can be joined with the click of a mouse. Invitation Only crews require the candidate to submit an invite request via the Social Club, which may be either accepted or denied.
Crews have several internal roles designated by the Leader. Members may serve as Commissioners, Lieutenants, Representatives, or Muscle.
•Commissioners, Lieutenants, and Representatives may promote members of a lower caste, and may also invite new members.
•Muscle may only invite new members.
Crews may only have one leader, who wields ultimate power over Crew decisions.
Crew members earn extra Reputation when doing Jobs with other Crew members. Joining a Crew is a fast way to level up and improve your Reputation -- more Reputation means a higher Ranking.
Crew Members are easy to spot in game lobbies and via the Interactive Menu through their Crew Tag.
Members of a Crew also receive special cosmetic bonuses.
