    • Columbus Cultural Arts Center. Fans of the visual arts will enjoy the Columbus Cultural Arts Center, located by the Scioto Mile. Built in 1861, the building was originally constructed as the Ohio State Arsenal and continued to serve the militia until the late 1970’s when it was officially taken over by the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department.
