Excellent Tier. #6: The Way of Kings (Stormlight #1): Admittedly, this book has a lot of dull parts. I think that's because of the heavy worldbuilding, which takes a while to sink in. I had to kind of push myself through a lot of the chapters focusing on the war itself.
Apr 11, 2020 · 6 – The Final Empire. This is the first Sanderson book I ever read and I think it should be everyone’s first foray into the cosmere. Vin is a fantastic main character to follow in The Final Empire as she is taken from being a street urchin to a powerful hero (no more spoilers in case you haven’t read them yet).
Chamber of Secrets. Philosophers stone. Goblet of fire. Prisoner of Azkaban. Deathly hallows. Half blood Prince. It’s really hard for me to rank because OotP and CoS are pretty interchangeable for me depending on my mood. I honestly love them all and the only one I don’t love much is half blood Prince. 4.

The lexile website says that that book has an 840Lexile, which means that if you read around 800-860 for a while, you'll probably be in a good range. We have our students read 50+/- their actual lexile, usually. This website lets you search by lexile, so you can find all sorts of books right around that level.
