   • There is no dump station at the campground which, frankly, sucks. We were going to have to pay to use somewhere else but instead waited until our next campground. We camped at Sunset Bay State Park in a Travel Trailer. Was this review helpful? Beautiful campground in the woods, with the beach just across the road.

   • Lots to do in the area. We camped at Sunset Bay State Park in a Motorhome. Take the short drive out of the park to the left and go to the lookout at the end of the road as well as the vistas along the way. There are awesome views of the coastline as well as sea lions, harbor seals and we even saw whales that inhabit the area.

   Sept 2020. There are two Sunset Beachs on the Oregon coast. This one is on the eastern edge of Sunset Bay near Charleston, Oregon, several miles west of Coos Bay/Northbend. As this is Oregon the water is nearly always cold. The beach is protected from most major ocean waves and is quite accessible from nearby parking.
