To do an acrylic pour, you need to change the consistency of your paint into a fluid consistency. This is achieved by using an additive such as elmer’s glue, floetrol, Liquitex pouring medium. I did this pour technique twice for this demonstration and both turned out relatively different from each other. That is one thing that makes acrylic pouring so special – no two will ever be the same!
You can use it to paint with! The consistency will be very high flow but the paint will show up transparent. You can also use leftover paint to pour on some small objects such as rocks, shells pieces of wood or other small objects.

Blow Out Technique. Blow out or blowing technique is also know as a Dutch Pour in our fluid art community. First, you add paint to the canvas, and then blow it out with a blow-dryer or simply by blowing with your mouth. This pouring technique is perfect if you love working with negative space and wispy design.
