The Bogmen Concert History. 36 Concerts. The Bogmen were an indie rock band from Huntington, Long Island, New York. The band was formed in 1993 by Billy Campion, Bill Ryan, Brendan Ryan, Mark Wike, P.J. O'Connor and Clive Tucker. The band was signed by Arista Records in 1995.
Billy Campion met Bill and Brendan Ryan in the early 80's. Sharing a passion for music, they started a band. In their college years picked up Mark Wike (bass), Clive Tucker (drums) and PJ O'Connor on Percussion. The band signed with Arista Records and their first album was produced by Jerry Harrison. Brendan's wife was killed in 9/11 and the band reunited and will play Webster Hall Sept 11, 2021.
The band was originally formed in 1990 by lead singer Billy Campion and bothers Billy and Brendan Ryan. By 1992, bassist Mark Wike, percussionist P.J. O’Connor, and drummer Clive Tucker were added. The Bogmen disbanded in 1998. But they are now working toward an album release in May. “In My Kingdom” is the title track.
The band then concentrated on live shows and toured around the United States with bands such as Barenaked Ladies, before releasing the 1997 live album Bogmen Live which was also released by Arista. After switching producers, the band then tapped Bill Laswell and Godfrey Diamond before heading back into the studio and recorded the album Closed Captioned Radio in 1998 before disbanding.
