Although never quite the shining stars of the mid-1990s Glaswegian indie-pop scene, at least as far as U.S. audiences were concerned, the Delgados were not only master melodicists but tastemakers, too, running the Chemikal Underground label and introducing the world to their scene-mates Arab Strap, Bis, Mogwai, and others.
