The Flys were an American rock band, formed in Hollywood [1] in 1994 by Adam Paskowitz and Josh Paskowitz. They are the sons of Doc Paskowitz, described by the New York Times as the "First Family of Surfing." [2] The band has shared the stage and toured with many other well known acts and rock bands, but have been on indefinite hiatus since 2012.

Eventually another singer/rapper, Joshua Paskowitz joined the band. By merging alterna-rock with retro sounds, The Flys took a far more original approach than the majority of other late-90's alternative bands. The Flys are best known for their memorable smash hit single, "Got You Where I Want You" found on their Holiday Man cd.
