For some reason, on a document I have, the size of a tab has been reduced to almost nothing. This means that it is hard to determine the indentation level of a line. Is there anyway to change the sizes of the tabs for this section of the document?

In the "Main" tab, you can make basic specifications. The effective length factors are entered and the nodal supports to be considered are defined in the Nodal Supports & Effective Lengths tab. The input options are adjusted according to the selected design standard. Therefore, not all options are always available. The design standard is selected i...
Nodal Supports
By entering nodal supports, you define the boundary conditions for the lateral-torsional buckling analysis (for the "Eigenvalue Method" determination type only). Furthermore, the nodal supports are used to subdivide the member or the member set into segments. To define the supports, you can select common types from the list in the left column, activate the check boxes in the cells individually (fixed supports), or deactivate them (no supports). In addition to fixed or rigid supports, you can...
Effective Length Factors
The "Effective Length Factors" table is adjusted to the number of the nodal supports. If no intermediate nodes are defined, there is only one "segment". You can adjust the effective length factor of this segment to fit the boundary conditions by using the factors to increase or reduce the effective length for various failure modes. Supports at the intermediate nodes subdivide the member or member set into several segments for various failure cases: 1. Supports "in z/v" divide the length for b...
Nodal Supports - Additional Data
This section is displayed if a spring has been defined as a support in the selected row, or if there is a lateral support in y/u without a rigid restraint about x. You can define the parameters in detail here. Enter the characteristic values of springsthat are available for the lateral support or the rotation about the supported axes. You can also specify stiffnesses for warping springs. The Eccentricityrefers to the lateral support in y/u and, depending on the position of the compression fla...
The Import from Stability Analysis tab is displayed if activating the corresponding check box in the "Main" tab. Here, you can select the buckling modes and members whose effective length factors ky/u or kz/vshould be applied.
I can't seem to read 2 space indents, but companies like Google use it as a standard. Can anyone point to documentation, studies, or well-reasoned arguments for the optimal size of a tab? If we want to get specific, I work mostly in python.
Jun 18, 2011 · Occasionally, I use Notepad to edit some form of code/html, which means I need to tab a lot. The default indent size when hitting tab is eight spaces when ideally I'd like it be four. Is there any way to change this setting?
Standardized values (also called standard scores or normal deviates) are the same thing as z-scores. A standardized value is what you get when you take a data point and scale it by population data. It tells us how far from the mean we are in terms of standard deviations. How to Calculate a z-score.
Apr 2, 2023 · Its distribution is the standard normal, Z ∼ N(0, 1). The mean of the z-scores is zero and the standard deviation is one. If y is the z-score for a value x from the normal distribution N(μ, σ) then z tells you how many standard deviations x is above (greater than) or below (less than) μ.

When I push tab in many applications like vim, OpenOffice etc., the tab size is equivalent to 8 spaces/characters. This is the default for many applications. When the default terminal size is 80 chars horizontally, why is the tab size this big?
