Jan 8, 2015 · I just updated my iPhone to 13.3.1. After performing the update I went online and offline on the Uber driver app. NO SOUNDS whatsoever. I completely closed and reopened the app and the online and offline sound was back. It appears, at least in my case, that toggling between online and offline indicates the level of the sound.
Mar 5, 2018 · At first the app would remind me with voice directions when a turn is upcoming. But then it got intermittent. Now it doesn't work at all. The phone is set for its loudest (outdoor) sounds. Is there some setting within the app for voice navigation? Is there a way to update the app? Nevermind, it's working now.
Feb 8, 2023 · I have driven for Uber for over a year with over 1200 trips and I've had tech issues before with reservations, however by uninstalling and reinstalling the app and or restarting my phone the issue was resolved. I'm currently unable to receive any reservation requests, I'm not even receiving alerts that another driver picked up the reservation.
Dec 26, 2016 · I export my pay information by sending a CSV file from the partner website. I import this into a spreadsheet. I also use an app called MyRideTrac to track all of my miles because Uber only reports miles with someone in the back seat. You get to write-off all of your miles. I use MyRideTrac to track all of my miles and expenses.
Aug 4, 2021 · After weeks of dealing with support, one of them was finally like "Check and make sure app has all permissions", and find the spot in the app where it wants to be allowed to operate over other apps. Not sure if it was giving the app boatloads of permissions or that last one, but that ultimately solved my inability to go online. 3.
Feb 21, 2020 · This has been an issue for about a year now. I actually bought an Apple watch so that I would at least get a thump on my wrist when a ride request was coming through but a couple months ago, the Apple watch stopped supporting the Uber driver app. I feel like Uber needs to get with the Apple team and figure this out.
Aug 7, 2023 · Sometimes can also be an shadow ban when they prevent you from using the app without actually deactivating you. The only way you will know is logging into your account on another phone to rule out that possibility. Perhaps another driver phone with his app working and able to login would give the most definitive answer.

Apr 15, 2021 · Some have suggested disabling the navigation sound from the Uber app. That is not a serious suggestion because I would miss some of the pings for new riders. I have an iPhone 11 Pro. No other Bluetooth audio app acts this way, only the Uber app. I have narrowed it down to a problem with the app. Uber needs to fix this asap as it is very annoying!
