Jun 14, 2021 · Hello, As of a few days ago, my cursor in Word cannot keep up with my arrow keys. For example, if I press the right-arrow key five times, it takes Word a few seconds for the cursor to get there. This is particularly annoying if I want to say, highlight a sentence using arrow keys alone, as it takes Word much longer than usual to accurately move the cursor.

Most noticeable is in Excel when I try to place the cursor inside an already typed sentence in order to edit some text, the cursor automatically goes to the end of the sentence. I have to back space to get to the part of the text that I want to change. Also, I cannot highlight text to edit the text.
Oct 3, 2023 · Go all the way to the bottom of the text message, position the cursor below the bottom of the text message. Press the space bar until the keyboard turns gray. Keep your finger on the screen. Then you should be able to move the cursor around in the message and position where you need to be.
