Unlike its competitors in the live TV streaming market, Vidgo TV does not provide an option for viewers to record content. It does not offer a Digital Video Recorder (DVR) service, which is a common feature other live streaming services provide. Furthermore, Vidgo TV also does not enable viewers to watch movies and TV shows on-demand.
Simultaneous Streams and Profiles
Where Vidgo TV does excel is in enabling subscribers to watch content on up to 3 simultaneous streams. This is on par with all of the most popular live streaming services and can only be bettered by the Sling TVOrange + Blue plan, which enables users to watch on 4 devices at the same time. However, Vidgo TV does not enable users to create multiple profiles per account, so different members of the same household will have to access the service via the same profile on different devices.
User Experience
Vidgo TV provides a basic user experience that consists of just a channel guide. Channels are arranged in rows that display the next two hours of programming and are conveniently sorted into categories such as Family, Favorites, Recents and Sports, which makes it easy for viewers to find their favorite content and limits how much they have to scroll through the guide. However, it does not provide parental controls for people to restrict the types of content available to their children.
Despite being a relatively recent entry into the live streaming market, Vidgo TVoffers a competitive option for cord-cutters.
