In such a reality, in the streets of Łódź, where ZOMO (Motorised Reserves of the Citizens’ Militia) scattered the demonstrators, Waldemar Dziki filmed his excellent debut – “Postcards from a Journey” – which constitutes one of the best Polish films about the Holocaust, ghetto and its imminent end.

  2. Waldemar Dziki directs a 78 minute war drama, about an aging Jewish man caught up in Poland during the Nazi occupation. We never hear the words holocaust, pogrom, round-up etcetera in this film. Furthermore we aren't shown much either. We're sort of thrown into this period in Poland and seeing random scenes of man's life under the fascist days.
