Honestly, the Calamity War wouldn't be nearly as interesting as a proper IBO sequel. We know what happened in the Calamity War: they fought giant robots with Gundams. It would just be a rehash of the Hashmal arc. It would probably be interesting, but "Iron-Blooded Zeta Orphans" would be a way better way of fleshing out the setting further.
