Neil Stanley Aspinall (13 October 1941 – 24 March 2008) was a British music industry executive. A school friend of Paul McCartney and George Harrison, he went on to head the Beatles' company Apple Corps. The Beatles employed Aspinall first as their road manager, which included driving his old Commer van to and from shows, both day and night.

They were friends for much of the 70's. And there was even periods George was fine with being in a band with Paul(and there were periods when he was not lol) but there was never any real animosity between the two that decade. The serious animosity in the 70's was John and Paul in the early 70's and John and George in the late 70's.
