Sep 24, 2021 · I was born and raised in Reading, PA. I became interested in the history of Reading through the many stories my grandfather used to tell me. Born in 1897, he witnessed the growth and expansion of the city which was once the 4th largest city in Pennsylvania with a population close to 130,000 not including unnaturalized citizens.
