Jun 20, 2022 · I can only assume that when the latest switch was made as of this date, BlueCurve TV introduced The Weather Network App on-screen, where viewers can navigate their specific location within Manitoba (amongst other places across Canada and the world) and perhaps have that as a quick and instant source for weather information.
Local weather forecasts upgraded The 7 day forecasts have recently been upgraded and are now updated up to 12 times a day. They use a blend of the Met Office UKV model along with our in house NetWx-SR and NetWx-MR models.
Apr 30, 2022 · Why did Shaw change the "on the tens" Weather Channel format? It used to have the local Comox weather, now it's towns from Victoria to Campbell River. I'm not interested in the Victoria weather, and want the local Comox weather. Please change it back to the previous format on Channel 2.
Nov 13, 2020 · @miomiko I don't believe there is an HD channel of the Nanaimo weather network in your local area which is why you are seeing the Victoria weather network. On BlueCurve TV, you just need to say "Weather" to bring up the weather app for your local weather.

Jan 3, 2020 · A representative from Shaw tech suggests that in order to provide more (garbage) channels on the BLUE Curve system the weather channel was removed, it did not fill the bill, that our Comox Valley area, was not, is not big enough, not enough subscribers, So due to the type of feed, Blue Sky, channel 271 was sacrificed so that more (garbage) channels could be fed onto the network.

I called and spoke with Shaw Thursday morning regarding the missing 271 weather network channel. The guy I spoke with assured me that this was a network issue and they are aware and working on the problem and by the time I got home from work that evening the channel should be fixed. I guess I was lied to. Very disappointed with Shaw.
