   Jun 12, 2011 · Barring any major problems with this latest version, this will be the last release in the 3.x series. If I continue development on Stella (which is likely at this point), the next release will be version 4.0, in which I'll be breaking compatibility slightly and moving to OpenGL as the default rendering system.
