When you find the picture in search, right click the picture - open file location ,The address bar will then tell you where it is. Which will exactly where you left it last time. My question is a general one referring to all photos used in wallpapers, not just one in particular. I was just wondering if there is a list out there with names of those places shown. Thanks anyway.   4. Sep 10, 2024 · Step 1: Open File Explorer. First, open File Explorer by clicking on its icon in the taskbar or pressing the Windows key + E. File Explorer is where you manage your files and folders. You’ll need it to navigate to the location where Windows stores the wallpaper.

    • Download Find_current_wallpaper.zip (for Windows 8 and 10) unzip and extract the contents to Desktop.
    • Move the files Find_current_wallpaper.ps1 & Find_current_wallpaper.vbs to the C:\Windows directory.
    • Double-click the file Find_current_wallpaper.reg to add Desktop Background File Location option to the Desktop context menu.
  5. Oct 9, 2019 · The Web folder houses 3 sub-folders which are called: 4K, Screen, and Wallpaper. Surprisingly, all three folders have wallpapers and different ones at that. The default Windows 10 wallpaper, which is the one with the light beams and the Windows logo, can be found inside the "C:\Windows\Web\4K\Wallpaper\Windows" folder.

It is very useful, as the only thing you need is to do is double click the script. Windows 10 keeps the path to the source image as a binary value in the Registry.
