  1. Ange ou démon (2002) This is a list of the 50 absolutely essential Euro Power Metal albums. There are also bands from other continents on this list, but they are easily recognizable as Euro-Power. ->only one album per band.

  2. A solid album, if somewhat over hyped. Khan is good as always, and this is easily the best the band has ever done with their compositions. Really not much to say, in the context of this list at least. Its one of the best, but not one of my favorite. It does what it does incredibly well though. Should certainly be given a chance, at the least.

We Have the Power likes Dynazty, and The Dark Delight is a solid album that sees the band mixing in a perhaps surprising bit of gloominess into their otherwise bright power / hard rock formula.

    • Iced Earth - Something Wicked This Way Comes (1998) Iced Earth’s first four albums were more complex, but Jon Schaffer’s tech-thrash chops and Matt Barlow’s dramatic pipes reach their pinnacle on this more direct offering.

    • Queensryche - The Warning (1984) Before conquering the mainstream with Operation: Mindcrime, Seattle’s prog-metal pioneers had a precociously firm grasp on their own brand of high-tech, visionary power metal, evident in the bravura dramatics of Geoff Tate’s voice and the dark, pensive arrangements.
    • Cirith Ungol - King Of The Dead (1984) These Tolkien-indebted Californians formed as early as 1971, embracing the 80s metal revolution on versatile 1981 debut Frost & Fire.
  4. Like, it's a truly fantastic album, but I recognized a good amount of European sound in it as well as American. Realize this was 1987, the same year the first Keeper album was released. The album people call the EUPM pioneer (not to forget about Stormwitch and Attack). Virgin Steele's The Marriage albums were seemingly even more Euro-sounding.
