Admissions. Downe House educates girls between the ages of eleven and eighteen, taking them from the last years of junior school through to the sixth form. Girls can join the school at the ages of eleven, twelve, or thirteen, on leaving a primary or prep school, or at sixteen after completing GCSEs. The biggest intake of girls is at 11+.

Downe House School Results. The school achieved 75% 9-7 in the 2024 GCSE, and also a remarkable 53% with grades 9-8. Whereas the 2024 A level results show 82% A*-B and 60% A*-A. These excellent results have sent many of the girls to some of the best universities around the world.
Downe House School girls have an excellent sports spirit. Lacrosse is the school’s pride. Three of Downe House’s girls were chosen by the Lacrosse national team, one to represent England in the U20 European Championship and another in the Wales U19 Lacrosse squad. Their first XI Lacrosse won 18 out of 21 matches in the 2018-2019 season.
