ELITE FOOTBALL LEAGUE (EFL) FLAG FOOTBALL RULEBOOK These rules were created with the help of The Canadian Amateur Rule Book Flag Football. This will ensure that all players will have the opportunity to get themselves familiarized playing at a national level.

Field of play is 50 yards in length inclusive of a 5-yard end zone, and 2 10-yard zones on each half of the field; fields are 25-30 yards wide; Each possession starts at the 5 yard line after scores, turnover on downs and halftime.
Policies. Game Play: All rules from the Canadian 5 on 5 Flag Football rule book will be used in this league. The link to that rulebook is posted above. Each game will consist of 2 – 20 minute halves. The last two minutes of each game will be played in stop time format. If a team is up by 25+ points runtime format will be played.
Passing Rules: Forward passes must travel at least 5 yards in the air; no lateral passes are allowed behind the line or in lower divisions. No Blocking: Blocking is prohibited. Flag Management: Players must ensure flags are properly attached; loss of a flag results in being considered “tackled”.
