Many people with type 2 diabetes have insulin resistance and are carbohydrate intolerant which leads to high blood sugar. To reverse type 2 diabetes, Virta medical providers and health coaches guide patients through a personalized nutrition plan that reduces carbohydrate intake, while consuming moderate amounts of protein and fat.
This benefit is currently being offered to those with prediabetes or type 2 diabetes.
