Applied Animal Biology Practicum This practicum was designed to give students the opportunity to gain real-world skills that are transferable to a wide range of jobs working with animals. Previous practicums have included placements at the Vancouver Aquarium, BC SPCA, the Wildlife Rescue Association, farms and other animal shelters, and rehabilitation centres.
An Animal Science degree can really open you up to any job dealing with animals. EDIT: I saw you are interested in biology, Animal Science is really like applied biology. Learning the biology but also how it relates directly to the real world. Not bashing Biology, it's just more geared toward research and continuing your education.
This major is not competitive. (You’ll only need to formally apply if you are interested in the Honours program, which is competitive.)
