It is mainly about making money through the online program. Faculty were paid ~$3,000-$4,000 to make courses. They get money as SMEs as long as they are teaching the course.

  2. This would seem to indicate that, no, Liberty does not rate academically as a good school. This is not to imply that there aren't inspiring and caring individuals who are delivering teaching. It is simply to say that, by most accepted standards, it is academically poor. 2. Reply.

  3. Liberty isn't the only online option. For many employers, a degree from Liberty is more of a liability than an asset. Check out SNHU, WGU, or a state college with a full online program. There are at least three or four better colleges/universities just here in Lynchburg than LU.

  4. Review Liberty University. Liberty University is a wonderful Christian college. The campus and surrounding community is beautiful. The environment is perfect for growing academically and spiritually. LU offers a variety of opportunities and I am happy to be a part of the Liberty student life. Freshman.
