Social scene is a college campus in the middle of a city; if you don't find things to do then you're either not looking hard enough or some sort of global catastrophe is going on. Not sure how the medical school is specifically with class size, but it tended to filter down from 50+ for gen eds, ~20-30 students for lower level classes, and fewer as it gets more specific.
