Teacup poodles are the smallest of the poodle types and one of the smallest dog breeds in the world. Teacup poodles are small, friendly, loyal, and cute. Like the other poodles, teacup poodles are fun and energetic, which means they require a lot of time and attention from their owners.

- Standard Poodle. Weighing in at around 90 pounds, the Standard Poodle is the largest and most common variety of this canine breed. Standard Poodles grow to stand at least 16 inches at the shoulder and are known for their docile demeanor.
- Miniature Poodle. If you’re seeking a pint-sized pooch with a big personality, look no further than the Miniature Poodle. This adorable mid-sized dog weighs between 14 and 18 pounds and stands at least 11 inches at the shoulder.
- Toy Poodle. Want a dog that you can fit inside your purse? The Toy Poodle is a tiny little pup with a lot of love to give. They typically weigh no more than 10 pounds and stand 8 inches at the shoulder.
- Teacup Poodle. If you’re on the hunt for an even smaller dog, the Teacup Poodle may be the perfect pooch for you! While they aren’t recognized by major dog breed registries, the Teacup Poodle is still adored by Poodle enthusiasts the world over.
- The Goldendoodle. Originally bred from the Poodle and Golden Retriever, widely bred for the first time in the 1990s. 10 to 15 years, depending on the size and lineage.
- The Labradoodle. Australia. 10 to 15 years. 21–24 inches and 25–65 pounds. A mix between the Labrador Retriever and the Poodle, the Labradoodle tends to look more like their Poodle parent, though not all these mixed breed dogs do.
- The Yorkipoo. Germany. 10 to 15 years. 7–15 inches and 5–15 pounds. Yorkshire Terriers are adorable in their own right, but when bred with a Poodle, they tend to become more sophisticated without losing any of their visual charm.
- The Maltipoo. United States. About 12–16 years. 8–14 inches and 5–20 pounds. These dogs are not big, strong, or independent like the typical Standard Poodle, but they share many of the same physical characteristics and have the intelligence to learn new things as quickly and easily as the average Poodle would.
