Jan 1, 1997 · Agreeableness is probably best conceptualized as a general latent variable that summarizes more specific tendencies and behaviors (e.g., being kind, considerate, likable, cooperative, helpful). We used the natural language approach developed by Goldberg (1981) to organize the diverse findings in the literature.
