   Apr 19, 2017 · If the element only exists in one of the files, you can "copy/monitor" it instead, using the same process. Generally speaking (and as you probably have found out), having two separate files working on the same part of a project is not ideal - this is what central models are for 🙂

   Jul 29, 2016 · It's file size was getting very large so I decided to do 3 buildings in 3 different files. But now I want those 3 buildings to be in one single file so that I could carry out wind simulation on those 3 buildings and to see how the wind flows around those buildings. Is there any way to combine those 3 files into one single file? Thanks!

Meanwhile we were creating other views inside the original file. At this moment we need to merge both files in one so views and sheets come together.

   Aug 31, 2017 · My advice? Even though you think it will take longer: Decide which model is MORE up to date, and start going through the drawings sets highlighting what is lacking in that model and set of drawings. Then manually make the changes, then abandon the other model.

   • hi Ashok, Unlike other Autodesk products ( and I'm refering here specially at ACA ), Revit was conceived to do all work in a single file. That is why Revit needs more powerful computers to work on. Even so , if the file increases too much it will become difficult to manage the whole project in a single file.

   • 04-19-2017 07:38 AM #1 - have the other team delete your information out of their model. then you can link in their model separately. #2 - have the other team use different worksets. then you can open both models in the same instance of revit, isolate their information, and paste it into your model.
