Students may also receive a Bachelor of Laws, or LLB degree, which is the same program and qualification as a JD, just with a different title.
After obtaining a Canadian JD degree, you will need to follow the requirements to practice as outlined by the National Committee on Accreditation which may include a 9-month articling experience. The BC Law Society offers more information on the requirements for you to practice in BC .
